Mohandas Gandhi was a man of great leadership and courage. An advocate of nonviolence, even in the face of tremendous injustice, Gandhi spent his life working for equality and peace for Indian people. This Mahatma, or “Great Soul,” served as an inspiration to other great leaders, such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela.
