Ichiro Suzuki tells how a young boy in Japan grew up to become one of the most feared batters in professional baseball. He started playing professionally in Japan at eighteen years old. After seven years of awards and all-star games, he came to the United States and joined the Seattle Mariners. Despite being smaller than most American players, Ichiro has had a long and very successful career that includes world records and many awards. Photographs and charts support the text.
